Clark Construction Company served as project manager for multiple projects in past years. This first project encompassed all of the mall’s common areas, the entrances and the exterior of the 105,000 s.f. building. Renovation of the center court area included removing four existing cement umbrella structures and replacing them with 12 new skylights. The mall remained open to customers throughout the duration of construction.
Other projects included demolition and renovation of the existing southeast mall entrance. This area was then remodeled and transformed into the updated Cafes in the Woods Food Court, built next to JCPenney, as well as a play area in the Sears wing.
Exterior renovations included pad preparation, utilities, and pedestrian plaza work, extensive amounts of architectural concrete and landscaping for a new theater and two new restaurants and demolition of the old theater building, creating new parking lots.
