Washtenaw Intermediate School District’s 2019 Bond Program involved the demolition and reconstruction of High Point School. The refurbished gymnasium and natatorium serve alongside new classrooms and specialty rooms for music, art, and therapeutic support. Catering to special-needs students aged 3 to 26, the larger 50,000-square-foot school will feature individualized classrooms, professional spaces for therapy, enhanced technology, energy-efficient systems, and accessible outdoor areas. These improvements aim to create an optimal learning environment, with spacious classrooms, private bathrooms, and abundant daylight through windows.
