This 2018 Bond Program consists of renovations and upgrades to 5 existing buildings that
include 3 Elementary Buildings, Middle School, and High School. The District will update
all buildings with technology upgrades and new classroom furnishings; additional security
at main entrances and throughout the buildings; update heating and cooling systems with
energy efficient units, replace roofs and install new exterior doors; update flooring, ceiling
tiles, lighting and lockers in hallways, cafeterias and other non-instructional spaces; update
and replace equipment in cafeterias and kitchens; and reconfigure traffic flow, repave parking
lots and replace sidewalks.

The program includes the following scope of work by building:
Ralya, Murphy and Wilkshire Early Childhood Center – Replace and add fencing at outdoor
instructional spaces, including playgrounds; Build four (4) new instructional classrooms
– WECC; Reinforce and weatherize entrance canopy; New lockers in hallways/classroom;
Replace classroom amplification systems; New PA and central clock systems; Update student
bathrooms; Install new playground equipment.
Haslett Middle School and Haslett High School – Update Media Centers including new
furniture; Install new floor and bleachers in main gym; Install new student lockers in
hallways; Update student bathrooms; Resurface the track and tennis courts at Haslett High
School; Update and convert Jamie Gent Stadium to a new multi-use sports complex with turf
playing surface for football, soccer and lacrosse; Replace fencing and bleachers at outdoor
athletic facilities; Convert the practice gym to a performance gym at Haslett High School.
