Tim Lasher has spent 30 years in the construction industry, primarily in southwest Michigan. His extensive career includes roles with general contractors, construction managers, a mechanical and plumbing contractor, and a deep foundations contractor. Tim began his career working for an architect before transitioning to contracting, a move that could be seen as an awakening or a shift to the dark side, depending on one’s perspective.
He managed several notable projects in the Kalamazoo area before moving from project management to estimating, where he found his true calling. Rising from an estimator to a Market Segment Leader, Tim has always enjoyed the challenge of winning work. However, like many estimators, his first question upon securing a job is often, “Where was the second bidder?” This reflects the constant curiosity about whether a project was won due to a mistake.
Recently, Tim and his family relocated to the Grand Rapids area after living in Kalamazoo for 25 years to be closer to the newly opened GR office of CCS. This transition has been positive, bringing proximity to projects and a short 20-minute drive to Lake Michigan. Adjusting to life as empty nesters has been significant, especially when their youngest child returned home for the summer after starting college. The family includes two dogs, a sheepadoodle and a Corgi/French bulldog mix.

Along with leading various projects for CCS, Colin is working with Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers, helping train and mentor Clark Contracting Services future managers.
